Kindred Shadows

 

     Genevieve Thompson is an ER nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital on the outskirts of New Orleans. She's had her heart broken more times than she can count and thought her one date she had with Roman was a turning point for her until he unexpectedly left. She has almost given up on men until her friends convince her to come to a Ladies' Night at Sanctuary of Desire. Upon arriving, she runs into Roman and asks her to join him.

     Roman Lavelle is a were-panther who holds the position of Head Alpha of the Commission. He has been entrusted by the different Were-clans to keep their kind hidden from the humans and to help protect them from the Mulatese Tenebrae. Dating a human can be tricky considering its against their laws for various reasons. Were-shifters in general have been hunted over the centuries and laws had been put in place to keep them alive. He figures its just one date and he finds himself drawn to Genevieve like a moth to a flame.
     
     Now Roman's life just got complicated. He's forced to hide Genevieve in his world in order to protect her.

     Roman had no intentions of taking a mate until fate intervened during the Blood Moon and bound his soul and Genevieve's, together. They both have hearts filled with painful shadows. Can they learn to love and trust one another? Can Roman convince Genevieve that she is his and be able to protect her?
